We’re really happy to share that Papi Jim’s Pizza is now available at Essington Farm.

If you’ve visited before, you’ll know exactly why we’re so pleased to be stocked there. Essington Farm is such a brilliant family-friendly place, well known for its strawberry picking, farm shop, butchery, deli and lovely little restaurant.

On our first visit, we instantly felt that warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were so friendly, there was so much to look around at, and it just felt like the kind of place families genuinely enjoy visiting.

Essington Farm has been rooted in farming since 1892 and is known for fresh local produce, farmhouse cooking, pick-your-own fruit and veg, and quality food from their farm shop and restaurant.

As a small family-run business ourselves, it means a lot to have support from another local business that clearly cares about good food, families and the community.

BBQ chicken and Ham and Portobello! They smelt so amazing on a lovely sunny day today. And yes we had to sample one just to make sure they tasted amazing.

Oh and yes that's not a typo "Farm Shops". We could soon have a new farm shop on the horizon!

🍕 Fresh pizza at home… from frozen dough.

We know things have been a little quiet on here lately, but behind the scenes we’ve been very, very busy working on something special for families.

Our frozen pizza dough balls are getting closer, and we’ve been testing them properly at home - because if we’re going to offer them, they need to be convenient, easy, and genuinely taste amazing.

This was one of our Friday night test bakes using dough that had been frozen, then defrosted on the day ready for pizza time.

And honestly?
There was absolutely zero taste difference compared to fresh dough. Soft, bubbly, light, crispy in the right places… exactly what we wanted.

Each dough ball can last up to 3 months in the freezer, which means you can have proper fresh pizza ready whenever you fancy it - no planning days ahead, no stress, just defrost, stretch, top and bake.

We baked 3 pizzas and they were amazing. Nothing beats a fresh pizza at home, especially when the kids can get involved too.

We’re also working on making the full pack feel fun and helpful for families, including:

🛒 A shopping list sheet with helpful tips for busy parents
📖 A little pizza story book for the kids
🏅 Mini pizza maker certificates

Friday night is usually pizza night in our house.

But this Friday was a little different.

Our daughter baked her very first pizza, and she had an absolute ball. She flattened out the dough, added the toppings, grated her own parmesan, and of course stole little chunks of cheese along the way.

At her age, she just wants to get stuck into whatever we’re doing. And secretly, that was the best bit for us. Not the pizza itself, but the moment. Spending time together, making a bit of mess, laughing, and watching her feel so proud of what she had made.

This is, and always has been, the future direction for Papi Jim’s. It’s where the name comes from.

Behind the scenes, we’re working on something very exciting as we prepare to launch the next phase of our business.

It’s all about getting families baking pizza together. Making it fun, messy, simple, and something everyone can enjoy.

Now the word is getting out about our frozen pizzas, I want to start sharing a bit more about what Papi Jim’s is really all about.

Yes, we make great frozen pizzas for busy people who want something quick, easy and tasty at home.

But the ❤️ of Papi Jim’s has always been family time.

Since launching, I’ve been really surprised by how many people have asked about our dough balls, making fresh pizza at home and getting the kids involved.

So I’ve been quietly working away on something new…

**Family Pizza Night Packs.** 🍕

Easy-to-stretch dough balls, super simple instructions, little shopping lists for toppings and our own “magic pizza dust” to help make it feel like a fun pizza night.

They’ll be made to work in normal home ovens or outdoor pizza ovens, so you don’t need anything fancy to get involved.

As a dad, I know how hard it can be to keep the kids entertained, especially when you want something that isn’t just another screen or another expensive day out.

Making pizza together is fun, messy, tasty and genuinely a lovely thing to do as a family. And because it’s fresh, simple food, it’s not actually that bad for you either.

Parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles - this one is for anyone who wants an easy activity that ends with everyone eating pizza.
