The Scottish "summer" interfered with our lesson today at Condorrat Primary School, boo! 🌧 As always the Condorrat kids were keen as mustard, and we had a couple of attempts but got the message that the bees were not happy with the on/off rain. We'll try again when the weather improves, we love our lessons there, the pupils are so engaged. 🧡🐝

Did you know that bees are very good at weather forecasting?!?!?😯 Meik our beekeeper thought that rain wasn't due until later today, but the bees knew otherwise. They were acting strangely this morning, hardly any flying, even when the sun came out. Instead they were nervously running over the frames and fanning their wings very loudly. Then the heavens opened 🌧️🌧️🌧️
Clever bees, we love them! 🐝🧐

What is that big yellow ball in the sky?!? 😎 Well, the bees at Eden Locke hotel in George Street were making the most of the Edinburgh sunshine today!
They'll be back inside over the Easter weekend, hiding from wind and rain by all accounts, so....make honey while the sun shines, we say.

I totally stole that line from Chris over at our good friends Unorthodox Roasters — but can you blame me? They’ve been proudly stocking our set and runny blossom honey for years, and now they’ve added our amazing fresh honeycomb to their shelves too.
