My goodness did we get some rain yesterday 🌧️. Was definitely a day for indoor jobs! As long as it remembers to stop now all will be ok!

Happy Monday everyone! Our specials today are:

⭐ Sausage and caramelised onion chutney toasted ciabatta served with salad and coleslaw

Well it is Saturday, and the first day of the school holidays. Most kids might not get the chance to “tattie howk” now, but farm kids like ours are privileged to be able to enjoy the tattie harvest. It means packed lunches, time with daddy and grandpa, lots of dirty clothes, and plenty fresh air. They love it, and there is something so cathartic about watching them do it. It fills my heart with joy ❤️.

Today’s specials are:

🐟 Cullen skink with crusty bread

🥔 Potato wedges topped with chilli 🌶️ or BBQ pulled pork

🍗 Crispy chicken wrap with salad and coleslaw

🥘 Rich beef casserole with creamy mash

🥖 Minute steak and onion ciabatta

🥔 Baked potato with prawn marie rose, chilli or BBQ pulled pork

🥣 Soups are chicken broth or cream of tomato

🍮 Or why not try our new soup and pudding deal? Today’s we have sticky toffee pudding - the perfect treat!

If you are coming to visit us, look out for Mike and Martin in the tractors lifting the potatoes. The potato field is up the back of the farm this year, but you will see them in the distance, and when they come in to the yard with trailer loads of potatoes. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for some good weather and no breakdowns🤞🤞

Remember we have access to the Loch Leven Heritage Trail. Great for cycling or walking, and buggy friendly too!

Let’s hope the weather is kind and we can all enjoy the outdoors during the holidays!

Little and large…but both equally delicious!

The great thing about a farm shop is we don’t have to adhere to strict size guidelines. These cauliflowers would probably both be outwith the standard parameters, and therefore not be worth anything commercially. However, here at Lochend, our customers get the choice. Dinner for one - a small cauliflower is perfect. Feeding a small army or hungry teenagers - the giant cauliflower might just be what you need!
