Itโ€™s the weekend, you know what that means!

Our delicious Sunday roasts are back, served in the Restaurant tomorrow from 12โ€“3pm.

This weekโ€™s roasts, using meat reared here on our family farm, are:
๐Ÿฅฉ Roast sirloin of Aberdeen Angus beef
๐Ÿ– Honey-glazed roast gammon
๐Ÿ”ฅ Roast Leg of Lamb

And no Sunday roast is complete without all the trimmings! Mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, skirlie, roasted vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, with homemade gravy. ๐Ÿคค

Celebrating ๐‹๐Ž๐•๐„ ๐‹๐€๐Œ๐ ๐–๐„๐„๐Š with our own lamb, reared here on our family farm.

This weekend, enjoy ๐…๐‘๐„๐„ ๐ซ๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐š๐ง๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐› ๐ซ๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฃ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ โ€“ including boneless leg of lamb and mini shoulder roasts. And if youโ€™re not sure which cut to choose or how best to cook it, our butchers are always happy to help.

Our special burger was so popular this week, we have extended it to this weekend, so if you havenโ€™t tried it yet nowโ€™s your chance.

๐Ÿ” the double smash: two homebred Aberdeen Angus steak burger patties, with cheese, crispy maple streaky bacon, salad and smoked bacon bourbon jam.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿท

Harvest is well underway, and our farming team have been putting in the hours harvesting the barley and wheat grown in the fields surrounding the Farm Shop. ๐ŸŒพ

Much of what weโ€™re harvesting will stay right here on the farm with us. Did you know that up to 90% of our pigsโ€™ feed is made up of crops grown by us? Different mixes are used as they grow to give them what they need at each stage.

Our free-range hens benefit too, with 59% of their feed grown right here on the farm.

The harvest has another job too โ€“ once the grain has been taken, the straw is baled and brought back to the farm to provide bedding for our animals.

Growing so much of our own animal feed helps us farm more sustainably โ€“ keeping food miles down, making good use of what we grow and maintaining that lovely connection between our fields and the animals we rear here on our family farm. ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ”

Our bakers have been busy with a new one for the deli counterโ€ฆ Marry Me Chicken & Chorizo Pie. ๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿคค

Diced chicken breast and chunks of chorizo in a rich, creamy sun-dried tomato, garlic and cream cheese sauce, all packed into golden puff pastry.

We can't promise an actual proposal, but it is a very good pie! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Freshly made and available from our deli counter until Thursday 3rd September. If you would like to taste it first- pop in today as we will be serving tasters at the deli counter! ๐Ÿ˜‹
