Manchester, you brought your game!
For our Caretakers Cottage x Speak in Code event, we brought all the way from Melbourne two influential voices, Matt Stirling and Eddie Goddard, for a whole day of cocktails, conversation and a packed room of industry friends.
From their ethos of “fixing the roof while the sun is shining” to the realities of managing bars, Matt and Eddie shared the thinking behind their approach to hospitality — creating spaces where inclusion is considered at every level, from who gets hired to how every guest feels when they walk through the door.
And, of course, they didn’t just talk cocktails. They shared a selection of their award-winning serves, giving everyone in the room a taste of what makes Speak in Code such a standout part of Manchester’s bar scene.
A brilliant experience of ideas, inspiration and exceptional drinks.
