At Clos Ventas, the story of every bottle begins long before the grapes reach the winery.

Our vineyards are rooted in rugged, mineral-rich soils that challenge the vines to work harder. The result is lower yields, smaller grapes and fruit packed with flavour and character. The unique terrain, combined with abundant sunshine and cooling influences from the local climate, creates ideal conditions for producing wines with balance, freshness and complexity.

We believe great wine should reflect where it comes from. That's why we focus on expressing the true character of the vineyard – what winemakers call terroir. Every grape carries a little of the landscape, the soil and the climate that helped shape it.

From vine to glass, it's all about respecting the land and allowing nature to do what it does best.

When people think of fine wine, they often picture rows of oak barrels. But at Clos Ventas, we take a different approach.

Concrete tanks allow the wine to shine without adding extra flavours. Unlike oak barrels, which can introduce notes of vanilla, spice, smoke and toast, concrete preserves the pure character of the grape and the vineyard. The result? A fresher, more authentic expression of the wine.

Concrete is also naturally porous, allowing tiny amounts of oxygen to interact with the wine. This gentle process helps to maintain the pureness of the grape varieties we use.

Another advantage is temperature stability. Concrete helps maintain a consistent temperature during fermentation and ageing, creating ideal conditions for producing balanced, elegant wine.
For us, it's all about letting the grapes tell their story. Sometimes, the oldest techniques are still the best.
