🎄 A little August update from the Christmas tree fields…

Christmas might still feel a long way off, but behind the scenes our trees are very much getting on with the job. 🌲

We got a slightly different view of the plantation this weekend courtesy of the JCB, and we have to say… they’re looking rather lovely from up there! 🥰

Lots of beautiful new growth, rows getting fuller by the week, and this year’s trees are coming along very nicely ready for another festive season at Highfield.

There’s still plenty of growing, trimming and general tree-fussing to be done between now and then… but for the moment, we thought we’d just enjoy the view. 🎄🤍

Not long until we start saying “it’ll soon be Christmas” and actually mean it. 😂

The trees might be taking a little break(in theory only tbf🙈), but the farm never does. 🌲❤️

When the temperatures rise, Holly & Phil get their own homemade frozen treats to help them stay cool. One loves apples, the other prefers carrots… spoiled? Absolutely. 🧊🍎🥕🐴

Sometimes the richest life is the simplest one 🌾 A slow afternoon. Fresh air. A trailer full of hay. Somehow, that’s enough 🌾 Day off from Christmas trees today. The farm doesn’t stop, and with the fields so dry, it’s time to make sure our donkeys are well fed. 🤎

Right… this was meant to go up before Easter but life had other ideas (and slightly more dramatic plans for us…)

Anyway…here it is.
Our very overdue switch from Christmas🌲to Easter 🐣.

Late? Yes.
Still posting it? Also yes 🙌🏼

Yes… the Norway spruces were still looking decent in April (we don’t rush these things round here).
Swapped out for a couple of olive trees and a little Easter refresh.

Better late than never… or just very on brand for us? 🙈🌲
