Every inspection gives us a chance to see how our colonies are developing, check on the brood, monitor their stores and make sure our bees are healthy and thriving.

From carefully built honeycomb to thousands of bees working together, there’s an incredible amount happening inside every hive.

We’ve recently added four new hives in Nuc boxes, each now home to a brand-new Black Mountain Buckfast queen. 👑🐝

It’s an exciting step for our bees, helping us build strong, healthy colonies as we look ahead to the seasons to come.

These new colonies are settling into their Cumbrian surroundings nicely — surrounded by plenty of natural forage and the beautiful countryside we’re lucky to call home. 🌿⛰️

We’ll be keeping a close eye on them over the coming weeks as they settle in and grow.

Here’s to four new colonies and plenty of busy bees! 🐝🍯
