McCornick Pedigree Livestock Cattle: Aberdeen Angus and Charolais, Sheep: North Country Cheviots, Roussin, Beltex/Texels

McCornick family, in South West Scotland located 10 miles West of Newton Stewart. Producing pedigree Charolais and Aberdeen Angus bulls and selling them at Stirling Bull Sales, Carlisle or privately at home. Our North Country Cheviots are the Lairg (Hill) type, females are mainly for commercial use and tups are sold either at Lockerbie, Longtown or privately, as well as some females. Roussins are

bred for both pedigree breeding and commercial purposes and are sold either at home or at the annual Roussin sale at Carlisle in September.

Show cattle were glad to get back to their own pens in the early hours of this morning after nearly a week away from home at the Royal Highland Show, and a successful one it was too!

McCornick Pl***oy A186, our two year old homebred junior stock bull, came away with Reserve Champion Bull and won The Tangier Trophy for the best Aberdeen Angus animal bred by exhibitor 🏆

A great few days at Stirling Bull Sales…

Honoured to be presented with the trophy for gaining most points in the show at the prize-giving on Sunday night 🏆 with all of our six bulls picking up rosettes in the show, being placed from 1st to 4th.

A fantastic sale topped by McCornick DJ, selling to the Cherrybank Herd for 16,000gns 🔥

McCornick Prodigy – 11,000gns
McCornick Dapper – 9,500gns
McCornick Phoenix – 9,000gns
