🐥 I THINK I’VE BEEN ADOPTED… 😍

This little one had a bit of a tough start after being rejected by her mum 💔🐔

But she’s quickly decided that there’s a perfectly good replacement available… me! 😂

She follows me around, comes running over when she sees me and seems quite convinced that I’m now her mummy 🥹🐥❤️

Safe to say, I think we’ve got a new little farm shadow at Little Tarnbrick Farm! 🥰

Who needs a guard dog when you’ve got a tiny chicken following you everywhere? 😂

🥚 DID YOU KNOW? — Why are our eggs different colours? 🌈

Ever wondered why some eggs are white, brown, blue or even green?

🐔 It’s mainly down to the breed of hen!

🤍 White eggs start with a white shell.
🤎 Brown eggs have brown pigment deposited onto the shell.
💙 Blue-egg breeds actually produce shells that are blue all the way through.
💚 Green and olive eggs are essentially blue shells with brown pigment laid over the top.

But here’s the important bit…

🍳 Shell colour doesn’t determine how good an egg tastes or how nutritious it is.

What really matters is the hen behind the egg — her diet, welfare, environment and, of course, how fresh that egg is.

That’s why a collection from our girls can look like a little rainbow! 🌈🥚
