Farm closure and christmas Markets.

After 4 years of hard work and a particularly bad closing season, we have decided that we won't be able to keep the farm going next year unfortunately; due to the challenging weather of the glen and isolated location.
The farm has been an incredible experience and we are grateful for all the support we had along the way!

Another week of boxes to go before the end of our crazy adventure; with our christmas -and last- box delivery scheduled for next Friday (on the 20th of December).

We will also be covering the last 2 markets of the season with Forfar market this Saturday (14th of December) and Cupar market on the 21st of December).
-please note that our Christmas box can be booked in advance (by 15th) and collected at cupar market!
A last chance to catch up with us before our journey to Shetland, and to get your favourite veggies on your christmas table.

Visit our page to get more info or get in touch directly to reserve your box.

Merry Christmas🎄

Very sadly we have taken the decision to cancel tomorrow's market in St Andrews due to the ongoing, rapidly changing weather forecast.

The farm will be open this weekend, alongside the pop up market Rottal Events & Accommodation (10am to 3pm)

A last great opportunity for the curious to come visit the farm and discover all the magic behind your favourite veggies!

The nursery will also be open for the occasion and we are having our winter sales on this month; a great chance to get your hands on some overwintering plants like:
Chard
Peas
Mustard
Purslane
Jerusalem artichokes
Strawberries
Pepper plants **hot** ready to harvest (habanero, cayaneta, scotch bonnet)

A farm tour will be organised on Saturday and Sunday at 11am.

Please note that we are still running our veg boxes until Christmas this year; the last deliveries are scheduled for the Friday 20th of December (or collection on the 21st at Cupar market Markets Between Two Firths ) with a special christmas box to celebrate the end of this crazy season
(Visit our oooby site for more info about booking your christmas box🎄)

We are also letting you know that this closing season will put an end to our adventure in the glen:
After 4 years of hard work, we can say that we did our best to build the farm and develop it. But the reality hit at the annual review and we had to accept the fact that the cost of running such an operation (due to its isolated location, harsh environment and greedy fauna! ) is not profitable nor even sustainable..

So we decided that we won't be carrying on with the farm next year unfortunately.

So we hope to see you around this weekend to celebrate 4 years of growth 🌱🌱🌱🌱

The best way to keep tomatoes through the cold season would be to store them in drawers; consume them as they ripen🍅🍅🍅
