Hertfordshire Honey Bee Supplies UK

Hertfordshire Honey Bee Supplies UK Supplier of honey bees, Queens, natural honey and beeswax. We also mail out to distant customers. We do not believe in importing bees even if the demand arises.

With good local and background knowledge, it was soon clear to us that it was essential to offer a pure and natural, raw product that everyone can enjoy. Our family business has grown organically with demand for our produce and we now supply local businesses and hotels. We do not believe in compromising in quantity or quality and still offer our honey in the traditional 1lb Honey Jars. Our productive and good natured Honey bees and Queens are all raised from our local stock. We continue to raise bees that have a good track record and we are now researching and improving colonies that are found to possibly have varroa resistance.

My first efforts grafting Apple Trees in our association apiary.

I grew four apples from seed 15 years ago (collected from an old tree in St Albans). One produced a new exciting variety and yields plentifully. It keeps for a fairly long time and remains crisp and juicy right to the end. It also polishes up well and has a lovely shape to it. Photos to follow in September.

Two trees have only started producing mediocre apples and the fourth never produced a flower.

I cut two trees right back with a small chain saw and then grafted them in April. Suddenly two months later in June there's life coming from the grafted twiggs.

Clematis Nelly Moser: 50 years old and having been transplanted from its original position over 40 years ago never thrived as it was cut back to the ground annually, therefore never flowered until I finally took over it's care 15 years ago. Don't cut it back and it will start ti thrive.

This year's Spring Honey is being harvested three weeks earlier than usual on Friday 15th of May 2026. This is the earliest we have ever taken off and extracted spring honey from our bees. We used to extract our first harvest in the 1st week of June but over the last decade it's become earlier and earlier.
