Velfrey Vineyard is looked after all year round by Andy and Fiona who moved to Pembrokeshire in 2014. Not long after they were followed to West Wales by their son Ryan who, along with his brother, suggested the idea of planting the vineyard. They were joined recently by Ryan’s fiancée Sophie who takes care of all the food that is served from the visitor lodge. Last but by no means least are the vi
neyard dogs Archie, Billy and Bash who you might be able to spot evidence of with all the stray tennis balls in the vines! Open Thursday to Saturday from mid-April right up until harvest in October. We offer vineyard tours at £15pp, starting at 11am and lasting approximately 90 minutes. Enjoy a unique grape to glass experience and learn about the vineyard from its establishment to the present day. Beginning with an indoor talk and visual presentation followed by a trip into the vineyard to see the vines and how they are cared for. We advise pre-booking for our tours. Attendance for under 18’s is free but they must be accompanied by an adult. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. You can choose to accompany your tour with our Welsh grazing board that includes delicious Monmouthshire charcuterie, artisan cheeses from across West Wales, locally baked focaccia, chutneys and relishes from just up the road and moreish Welsh crackers and Mediterranean style sundries! The Welsh grazing boards are also available to be booked separately at £20pp.
