Day 4 of my doughnut journey… (or obsession is probably a better word 😅)

Every batch is teaching me something new, but I definitely think I’ve finally cracked the brioche dough 😍

Now we’re onto the important debate…

Team jam or team custard?? 🤔

I know you all suggested some doughnut flavours, and believe me, they’re on the list… 👀🍩

But when I got a text, “Can you do some doughnuts for the first England match?”… how could I possibly say no!❤️🤍⚽

So day 3 testing became these England Match Day Doughnuts 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

And before anyone asks… yes, I cut one open for quality control purposes only. Absolutely nothing to do with me wanting to eat one. 😏😂

I’ve already got a large order, but I do have a few extra boxes available for tomorrow if anyone fancies a match day treat 👀

Saturday night was a BIG one at Bake Together Club 🥹♥️

For the first time ever, we baked completely from scratch!

The kids mixed, rolled, filled, plaited and shaped their own dough before turning it into pizza swirls and garlic bread plaits… and just LOOK at the results 😍

One of my favourite things about Bake Together Club is watching confidence grow each month. Seeing everyone so proud of what they’d created was just gorgeous ✨

Safe to say there were some very happy families heading home with their pizza boxes, I had multiple messages that they’d been eaten before they got home!🍕♥️

Yesterday I taught myself how to make doughnuts. Today, every single box had sold by 7pm, I’m overwhelmed by the response 🥹🤍

The messages, comments, shares and orders have completely blown me away ❤️

As a small business owner, there’s always that little voice wondering if people will actually like what you’ve made… so receiving messages like “the best doughnut I’ve ever had” and “your best bakes yet” honestly means the world.

Thank you for supporting my little business, for trusting me to try something new, and for selling me out in a matter of hours, I can’t thank you all enough ♥️

So many of you said yes to doughnuts, asked about fillings and even started giving me flavour ideas, it only feels right to have you all taste them! 👀🍩

Well… today I taught myself how to make doughnuts.

A decision I may come to regret, because now I’m already thinking of a hundred different fillings 😂

Homemade dough, homemade vanilla custard, blackcurrant jam, and far too many “just one more taste test” moments 🫣

The real question is… should doughnuts make the menu? 👀
