Straight from the land of the vampires 🦇

Three bottles from Transylvania have crept into BAKKUS for Halloween. They’re dark, smooth and best opened once the sun goes down.

Bloody Merlot 2018
Soft and plummy, with ripe dark cherry and a velvety finish. It’s easy-drinking with a bit of age on it, the one to settle in with. £22

Bats Blood Merlot
The “Masters’ Choice”. It’s rich and lush, with blackberry, a touch of spice and a long, smooth finish. Its label calls it “a luscious dark dream”, and we’re not arguing. £25

Bloody Cabernet
The boldest of the three. It’s full-bodied with blackcurrant, a hint of oak and firm tannins. Made for a cold night and a dark corner £22
