Goose news! Eric & Izzy have started laying… in Autumn?! We have 8 eggs so far, tho she is not sitting - yet! After their May clutch was unfortunately predated I’m chuffed to see they are trying again… even if it is unusual at this time of year. Could we be hearing the little pitter patter of goslings soon?! Watch this space…. 🥚 🪿 🥚 🪿 🥚

Been here 6 months this week - and genuinely can’t imagine life any other way. House is slowly being updated, horses are happy and we welcomed our first livery. Feeling very grateful.
On the downside, mud has began to creep in…. I expect the next 6 months are going to be testing - brace for winter ❄️

Fabulous end to our showing year with this pair… silverware at our local show - 1st broodmare, 1st foal and overall in hand champion 🏆❤️🐴
Hoagie has quadrupled in size, but loaded well and behaved impeccably. Next year yearling classes?! He’s also today graduated to full track herd member with mum and taking it all in his ever growing stride… big day for the big lad 🥰
As for Florence, she is just… incredible 🤎

It’s been my birthday this week and one of our lovely liveries made me these Eric and Izzy garden decs - I bloody love em! They sit beautifully with my cafe au late dahlia also gifted by a fabulous lady. Thank you!🪿🌸🪿

Xrays for our track unicorn Percy today - the old boy has been abit footy and showing signs of PPID (or Cushing Disease), a hormonal disorder commonly affecting older equines - a blood test earlier in the year was suspicious and clinical signs confirm what we suspected. So a prescription of Pergoquin and re-test bloods in a month. Soaked hay and life on the steading with a companion for the time being ❤️‍🩹🦄

Local rescue and community farm beginning their track journey for the residents - so good to see! 👏🏼 ❤️ 🐴

Wh***ey & Rupert are never far apart but they're sticking particularly close this week. As we have now installed a long-awaited track around one of our fields 🥳 we are starting to mix our smaller groups of horses and ponies together to hopefully be one big group eventually!
This is very exciting as the end goal is so much better for our equine residents' wellbeing 😊 For just now, it's also a bit stressful (for the humans too!) so you may notice the horses are a little unsettled at times but hopefully peace will be restored soon when they all find their place in the herd 🐴
