This weekend I’m hittin’ the road,
With cakes and carbs in overload.
From St Andrews down South Street way,
I’ll sass the markets all Saturday.

I’ve got sausage rolls all golden and proud,
The kind that make grown men cry out loud.
Quiches so fancy they think they’re French,
But still belong beside tea on a bench.

There’s buttery pies with flaky tops,
And breads so fresh they’ll stop folk dead in shops.
My brownies flirt, my cupcakes tease,
And my empire’s built on butter and cheese.

At Market Between Two Firths I’ll stand,
Whisk in one and coffee in hand.
Serving cakes with a cheeky grin,
While pretending my apron still buttons in.

Then Sunday calls for Aberdeen town,
Queens Cross market, crown on crown.
Multi award winning? Damn right, hen.
I’d win Best Sausage Roll all over again.

So if you smell pastry in the morning air,
Follow the glitter and you’ll find me there.
Serving sass, sweet treats and bread by the batch,
With enough carbs to fix your whole week in one catch.

Come hungry, come early, bring pals if you can —
Because nobody leaves empty-handed from Alli-Baba’s stand.
