Mid Surrey Community Fridges The aim of the Fridge is to reduce food waste and to support local people. We collect food from local businesses and make it available to the community.

The Community Fridge is there for people and businesses in Mid Surrey to share perfectly good quality surplus food rather than throwing it away. It's about making use of the good but unwanted food and fighting against waste!

Our van collections happen both daytime and night-time. We are looking for someone new to help the evening team to collect from a local supermarket on Tuesday evenings and bring it back to our warehouse in Dorking.

What are your Thursday plans? Do you have free time on Thursday afternoons and would like to volunteer?

If you do, we need your help! One of our Thursday afternoon mobile stops needs some new volunteer support to help distribute the food. The stop is on the outskirts of Dorking town centre and runs 2.30pm to 4pm.

There are many ways to support us and financially is one of them. If you can afford to give, you can do so at our locations or online.

These donations allow us to keep saving food waste and distributing it around our community. We save between 5-7 tonnes per week but each collection and delivery costs money.
