BANK HOLIDAY? RAINING? OF COURSE IT IS!! NEVER MIND…WE HAVE WINE ON TASTE!!
Happy extended weekend lovely people let’s make the most of it eh? So France it is with our tastebuds for you to try in the shop.
First up for whites a Domaine Guillaman Colombard/Sauvignan blend from Southern France. Bursting with exotic fruit on the nose with melon and grapefruit becoming more forward in the palate joined by herbaceous notes and minerality really extending the finish.

For reds we welcome the return of Chateau Goulefaisan Haut Medoc!! This gorgeous Bordeaux is cassis and plum on the nose with a hint of oak coming through on the palate. Well integrated but present tannins make it a go to choice for roast beef. Really superb value!

RAIN FOLLOWED BY SUN FOLLOWED BY WINE!! TODAY’S IN-SHOP TASTING
So where are we in the world with our tastebuds today then?…Italy!
We love wines by producer La Piotta and we’ve got two gorgeous wines open for you to try. Both are organic, biodynamically cultivated and low sulphite!
First up for whites we have La Piotta Riesling. This is a Riesling Italico grape varietal so a softer experience, aromatic and floral on the nose with citrus elements, melon and a hint of honey joining the minerality for a long finish.

For reds the Pinot Nero is again a softer, warmer experience than say, a French Pinot Noir. Classic Strawberries on the nose with red cherry coming through on the palate. Refined softer tannins and acidity make this an easy drinking experience as well as a great pairing for game birds.

EARLY BIRD TICKETS FOR OUR ANNUAL PORTFOLIO TASTING GO LIVE THIS FRIDAY 21ST AUG AT 6PM!!
Yes folks we’re releasing a limited number of discounted tickets - first come first served! ;) Our biggest tasting event of the year on Friday November 27th is going to be a fabulous evening! A walk-around tasting of 80+ Wines & Spirits, with a focus on our range of Christmas classics; plus, a special selection of our latest arrivals and best selling Champagnes, Proseccos & Ports... a truly unmissable event!

The tasting will take place at St Katherine’s Hall; tickets will be available for 2 separate sessions, with limited number of spaces:
- Session #1 from 5pm to 7pm;
- Session #2 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

TWO WINES THAT ECLIPSE THE ECLIPSE FOR TODAY’S IN-SHOP TASTING!!😁
Hello lovely people - we spoil you rotten we do! Right then, we’re off to Hunter Valley Australia and Macedonia today with our tastebuds.

First up for whites a superb Chardonnay from Kirkton Estate. Grapefruit and melon on the nose beautifully offsets the buttery notes on the palate keeping the experience fresh throughout. Refined oaking adds to the structure. Rich and elegant this an amazing Chardonnay!

For reds we head to Macedonia for a gorgeous full bodied Vranec! From vineyards this intense and fruity, bursting with blackberries, back cherry and spice on the nose and palate with very well integrated tannins, refreshing acidity and a very long finish. Definitely one for red meats roasts. If you like Shiraz you’ll love this :)

TWO WAYS TO STRETCH OUT YOUR SUMMER IN TODAY’S IN-SHOP TASTING!!
Happy weekend lovely people! Our lovely models are sporting two amazing wines for the sunshine😊
Just arrived we have a wonderful New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Jules Taylor The Better Half is bursting with grapefruit and passionfruit on the nose that yields to peach and apricot in the palate. Refreshing acidity and a hint of salinity really balances the whole experience.
For reds we head to Portugal fir a fresh and vibrant Douro from Quinta de la Rosa. Red fruit on the nose and palate - red cherries with licquorice and the merest hint of spice. Good acidity and well integrated tannicity means that this would pair wonderfully with lamb.
