There’s plenty to learn around a fire.

Recently, these Scouts put one of our Kadais to good use, learning some of the basics of fire and bushcraft, getting hands-on, spending time outdoors and building skills that are best learnt by doing.

It’s a great way to spend an autumn weekend at home, too. As we move further into autumn, lighting the Kadai with the family is a great opportunity to teach younger ones about building and managing a fire safely, cooking outdoors and understanding a little more about the natural world around them.

You don’t need perfect summer weather to spend time outside. Wrap up, get the fire going and make an afternoon of it.

Meet one of our Kadai Brand Ambassadors.

Keith’s cooking is all about wild produce, bold flavours and showing just how versatile cooking over fire can be. From fresh seafood to venison and wild game, you can expect plenty of inspiration coming straight from the Kadai with a few accessories put through their paces along the way.

What would you say is your specialty?

"I am big fan of Korean and Middle Eastern food so I generally lean into those flavour profiles when cooking. My speciality is wild meat and I like to show people just how versatile it is, combining those flavour profiles into those game dishes hopefully inspire people to try something different."

If you could cook one dish around the Kadai for your ultimate dinner guest, who would you invite and what would you cook?

”Roger Deakins, he is an incredible cinematographer and has shot some of my favourite films. I’m a big cinephile so I’d love to break bread and learn more about his craft and tailor a menu based on what he loves.”

The barbecue season might be changing, but the Kadai season certainly isn’t.

As the days get cooler and evenings outside call for a little more warmth, the Recycled Kadai comes into its own.
