Don't forget that it is the village hall meeting on Wednesday at 7pm. Come and join us and ensure the survival of this valuable asset to the village.
At the moment with the small amount of volunteers available we

1. Ensure the upkeep of the hall, maintaining it and arranging insurance, paying bills, licences etc
2. Arrange one off events such as the band nights to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall and the Jubilee/Coronation events.
3. Organise the Annual Village Carol Singing which has taken place for over 30 years.
4.Together with the Chapel arrange the Remembrance Service in November.
5. Fund and Care for the planters around the village and the Christmas Tree and decorations.

Chris Kamara is taking on the Great North Run on 13 September, to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK alongside his son Jack and his great friend Ben Shephard.

Kammy has supported the charity for years, helping to raise vital funds and awareness.

As we start heading out of summer and the nights begin to draw in, it’s just a little reminder to say hello to your neighbours.

We live in a beautiful village surrounded by some truly great people. Sometimes, just the smile and simple sentence from a neighbour saying “I’m here if you need me” can go a very long way.
