Or order directly for collection from us. An urban micro-farm based 5 miles from Leeds City Centre. We grow microgreens in our greenhouse and supply cafes, restaurants, street food vans, farmers markets, as well as local people through our community produce scheme and local plant sale

s. We grow our microgreens naturally, with the seasons, using only organic peat free compost, water and the sun. We cut, package and chill our products and cycle them straight to our customers, usually all in the same morning. This keeps our greens super fresh, for longer.

HIYA! I'M BACK!! 💚 Was so good to be back in the Grow House this morning after an amazing summer break this year! ☀️
Big thanks to my mum and dad too for keeping the home fires burning (greens growing!) whilst we were away! 💚
The good news is I'll now be supplying our local community with fresh microgreens every week from this Wednesday until Christmas! 🌿 Eating fresh microgreens regularly helps boost your immune system, so let's keep those sniffles away this season! 💪🏼

SIX years ago today, I planted my first trays of microgreens in my brand new, sparkly Grow House! 💚 I never celebrate the build, but this year I am! 🎉 I love it!! It's in our garden, I own it outright and it enabled my little microgreens business in Leeds to expand - to grow 5 times more fresh food for people locally and pay me a good living at the same time 💚
I built Nell's business up over three years in our conservatory during the autumn, winter & spring times and in our garden greenhouse over the summers. It was long enough to get established, build a steady (and brilliant!) customer base and give me the confidence that a mini expansion would work 🌿 It did, and it was the best decision I ever made throughout the past 9 years of Nell's!
I initially looked at units in Leeds to expand into. But they were expensive, not great quality and meant Id have to be travelling there daily to look after my plants.
So in 2020, I took the plunge. We had our old, leaky 1960s pebbledash garage demolished and a new Grow House built in its place. It's small, perfectly formed and allows me to run my microgreens business from home year-round 💚
It also makes great, productive use from a space that wasnt really being used on land we already own. I love the idea of that!

Well what a summer season that's been! LOVED IT! ☀️ Me and my sweaty face this morning wants to say a massive *Thank You* to everyone who's continued to buy my microgreens every week and keeps my little food growing business going 💚
It blows me away that I'm just about to hit 9 years of running Nell's! What a journey it's been! I dont think ill ever stop growing microgreens so you're stuck with me for the long haul 💪🏼
I've just closed for my summer break this year (hence the dark, empty shelves in the Grow House!), but my fresh micros will be back from Wednesday 9th September (back to school time!).
I'll be continuing to offer free weekly local deliveries of my mixed salad boxes to Colton, Austhorpe and Whitkirk in east Leeds, or doorstep collection from us right through til Christmas 💚🌿 Let's keep those immune systems boosted during lurgy season!
If you'd like a regular weekly or fortnightly order from 9th Sept, just give me a shout and i'll plant for you 🌿💚
