🥕🥔 A little heads-up for all our lovely customers! 🧅🥦

This Saturday 12th September will be the last day for our fantastic veg suppliers before they take a well earned three week break. 🌿

If you’re going to need them, potatoes and onions are perfect for stocking up on, as they’ll keep well while our suppliers are away. 🥔🧅

They’ll be back with us from Monday 5th October, so normal veg sales will resume then! 🍅🥦
Make sure you don’t miss out this Saturday and get your veg sorted before the break! ❤️

WE’RE BACK TOMORROW 👋🏻🥧

Well, that week flew by! 💨

Ben & Stuart have been back in the shop today, prepping and getting everything ready to see you all again tomorrow ☺️
We’ve also had our new pie table delivered today 🙌🏻

Now, while this might not look particularly rock ‘n’ roll 🤘🏻, it’s going to give us a bit more space to work whilst we make all your favourite pork pies.

And those things you can see in the picture aren’t old antiques… although they certainly look like they could be! 😂
They’re our old-fashioned pie press machines, and between them they’ve made millions of pies over the years. 🥧
I could go all M&S and tell you that every single one of our pies is individually crafted with love, care and porky goodness in every bite… ❤️🐷

But in reality, they’re just proper pork pies, made the proper old-fashioned way.
And we think they’re pretty bloody good! 😋

Anyway, enough waffle…

All done and cleaned down ready for our week off. Only the essentials left 👀🍻

What I love about our job🫶🏻

One of the best things about our job (aside from customers…obviously☺️) is getting to work with top quality produce.

We cut into this earlier this morning and it felt too good not to share. We’ve got plenty of it available but remember that we’re only here another 3 days before we close for the week❗️

🚨LAST WEEK TO SHOP WITH US🚨

Don’t worry we’re not shutting down…😅
But after keeping the shop busy and serving all our lovely customers, we’re taking a well earned week off to rest, recharge and spend some time with family😮‍💨😄

The shop will be closed from 2pm on Saturday 22nd August and we’ll be back open bright and early at 6am on Tuesday 1st September⏰

So, make sure you pop in and stock up on all your favourites before we head off! 🥩🥓🌭

🥩 The wait is over… it’s ready! 🥩

For everyone who ordered steaks, roasting joints and other cuts from our Belted Galloway beef – it’s now been properly aged and is ready to collect! 👌
If you’ve missed out then we apologise, it’s fair to say demand was a lot higher than expected with this one 😮‍💨
We’ve taken our time with this and we’re really looking forward to hearing what you all think😄

We will also have our LAST batch of Yorkshire Beltie burgers available too from lunchtime tomorrow! 🍔
Please note that these will be available in the shop only, we won’t be taking any more orders as we don’t know exactly how many we’ll have until they’re made😂

This time, our venison burgers are made from fallow deer locally sourced from Sutton Bank, North Yorkshire, packed with delicious, rich flavour and perfect for the BBQ or an easy tea😋
