Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to the extreme weather conditions today, along with a number of local schools closing after lunchtime, we anticipate having a reduced number of staff available this afternoon.
While the nursery will remain open, we would be very grateful if parents who are able to collect their child after lunchtime could do so. This would help us to maintain the highest levels of comfort and care for all children during the hottest part of the day.
If collecting early is not possible, please don't worry. Simply get in touch with Ashley, and we will work together to ensure we have appropriate staffing and ratios in place for the remainder of the day.
Unfortunately, the building has not cooled down overnight and temperatures inside the setting are already between 28–30°C. We have taken every possible step to keep the environment as cool as we can, but temperatures are expected to rise well into the 30s this afternoon.
With this in mind, if you are able to make arrangements to collect your child early today, we would strongly encourage you to do so.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and flexibility. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, and we are grateful for your cooperation.
As always, the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of the children remain our highest priority.
