Tynt Meadow, our English Trappist Ale, is borne of reflection and made with joy. It comes from Mount Saint Bernard Abbey, a community where work is a form of prayer and peace is at the heart of everything we do. Bottle fermented under the watchful eyes of Cistercian monks, our not-for-profit brewery produces Trappist beers that are great for any occasion while helping to support our community.

Be amongst the FIRST to find out when the next batch of Brewery Tour tickets are released...! 🎟️

Our tours for June, July and August are currently SOLD OUT. However, we'll be announcing our next dates and releasing tickets on our website very soon.

Subscribers to our newsletter will be the FIRST TO HEAR when tickets are due to be released, ahead of the general announcement.

If you'd like to be counted in that number, all you need to do is head over to our website, scroll to the bottom of the page and input your name and email address to sign up to our mailing list.

What Trappist beers are you enjoying today...? (Let us know in the comments) 🍻

You may have noticed that Trappist products, such as Tynt Meadow and Tynt Meadow Blond, carry the exclusive Authentic Trappist Product label. One question we’re often asked is: what does the label mean and how does a product qualify for it...?

To receive the Authentic Trappist Product label, a product must meet criteria set by the International Trappist Association:

🔔 All products must be made within the immediate surroundings of the abbey.

✝️ Production must take place under the supervision of the monks or nuns.

🎗️ Profits must be used to support the needs of the monastic community, solidarity within the Trappist Order, development projects, or charitable works.

The monastery then submits an application to the International Trappist Association, explaining how the community is involved in the work and management of the product. The application also covers production methods, quality control, distribution, and the way the product is presented and communicated externally.

Once the application has been received, a member of the ITA board and a member of the Quality Commission visit the abbey and production site. During the visit, they check that the product meets the label’s criteria, carry out a quality audit, and verify product traceability.

So, whenever you enjoy a Trappist beer, you can be sure it has taken a careful journey from grain to glass, passing through rigorous checks and watchful oversight to ensure that every pour reflects the values of the Trappist Order.

Since launching our brewery tours a couple of years ago, they’ve grown steadily in popularity. This year, visitors have also been able to enjoy an extra treat sampling our beers - including aged versions - in our newly refurbished tasting room.

Tours for June, July and August are now fully SOLD OUT, though you can still join the waitlist in case spaces become available.

At the start of July, we’ll be releasing new dates for the run-up to Christmas. We expect them to sell quickly! 📯🎟️
