This week has been spent in Caithness. Helping out friends at Campbells Dairies while the butchers wife is busy doing IACS in the county.

Happy new year to you all. We hope this finds you all well. We’ve had a slightly challenging start to the year but nothing that can’t be fixed.

We’ve done a stock take and have some freezer stock up packs available for you.

We are working to bring back normal service asap. But in the meantime we encourage you to where you can. That’s not just with us but with all local businesses. We have stock when your big players don’t.

And that’s a wrap!

The bench is scrubbed, the knives are cleaned and sharpened, the aprons are all cleaned and hanging on their pegs.

It’s been a fabulous season. In fact a fabulous year. Your private kill work has been constant all year. Our retail customers have been growing month on month. And let’s not forget our ever expanding selection of retailers and food establishments.

Every one of you has been amazing this year and we have a massive thank you to you all.

It’s now time for the butcher to rest his cut and scraped hands and enjoy a much deserved break.
