TO OUR LOVELY COSTUMERS :
As many of you know, we’ve been facing ongoing challenges with our ….. ( you know who I mean 👩🏽‍💼). Most of you have seen how stressful this entire sytuation has been for me. After a final consultation with our lawyer yesterday, we have made the difficult decision to close our shop.
🗓 Our last day of trading will be February 3rd.
For now, this closure is temporary, but we must be honest—there is a possibility it may become permanent.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support. Please stop by and see us before February 3rd; we’d love to say goodbye properly!

"My name is Elżbieta, I'm originally from Bydgoszcz in Poland and I run The cherry on top on Leven High Street.

I came to Scotland 11 years ago because I wanted a fresh start, I live in Edinburgh with my daughter and travel every day to open up. I've been open for 18 months now and I love it. This is actually the first cafe I've had, I used to do photography as well, particularly weddings back in Poland, I was also a beautician for many years too. I was initially scared to open up the shop because you just don't know how it will go.

I have great customers, I love my regulars. I love to meet new people as well and working here gives me the opportunity to do that. In Poland, I was involved with a charity and worked with people who needed help, people who struggled. So at Christmas, I came up with an idea to give back to the community that's been so good to me. We were able to give 15 people a bit of help with gift packages, thanks to the kindess of others, it's a great community here in Leven. I did the same thing in Poland when I could, it's important to help people. My customers were a huge help in sorting it all out. I love Christmas, especially in Poland, where we have Christmas for 3 days and it's magical.

Leven has been kind to me, the people are great. I love being close to the beach, I keep in regular contact with my customers too, they're like family to me. It's probably why I've always enjoyed working with people, it's always given me a lot of happiness"
