Its a busy time here in Leyburn with two big events taking place on the next two Saturdays. Firstly we have the amazing Wensleydale Agricultural Show taking place on Saturday 29th August on the show field on the edge of town. For those who have never been before, its a great family day out and well worth attending. All run by local volunteers who work so hard to make the annual event so special.

Secondly, on Saturday 5th September Leyburn will host the finish of the Cycling race. This event which will bring an estimated 3000-5000 visitors to the town. Due to this there will inevitably be some disruption with road and car park closures. From 7pm on Friday 4th September there will be no parking in the Market Place, Commercial Square or the Golden Lion Car Park. Alternative parking will be available at Leyburn Rugby Club, Tennants Fields, Wensleydale Show Site or limited parking will be available in Grove Square.

From the information we have been given by Leyburn Town Council the A684 from Brentwood Roundabout up to the Bolton Arms and the road from The Golden Lion to the High Street will be closed from 6am to 7pm. Details of other road closures can be found using this link https://shorturl.at/vYARX

Our store will be open as usual from 8am to 7pm on Saturday, however given the parking and access restrictions you may wish to plan your large shopping trip earlier in the week, or don't forget we are open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday 6th September when the parking will be back to normal!
