Our lads are made of tough stuff!

Jonathan Castle-Ennis went part way up both sides of Snowdon as PYG trail was hard going but he went back down and back up the Llanberis path before rendezvousing with Flowmech on their way back down.

Made it about 2/3 of the way up and came back down together.

That’s real teamwork! Well done both 👏🗻

And they’re off again!

Not to be bested, Kevin Davey and his nephew James are now on their way up Skiddaw.

Crazy how different the conditions are there compared to earlier this morning, but if it means they can safely get another of the 40 Peaks in the bag, that’s great!

Team England were first off the blocks this morning - taking on the Lake District 6!

With inclement weather conditions forecast for the day, Event Lead Gareth Wilson made sure to tell everyone to take all precautions necessary and not to put anyone at risk - this is a positive event, not one that has to be completed, so if we have to come back to pick up some peaks, we will.

So safe in that knowledge Kevin Davey, his nephew James and Flowmech’s Gary Cashin, Hannah and Luke took off for Scafell Pike which they scaled in no time.

But with younger climbers on the team, Peak Lead Kevin made a call on the other peaks, “it’s too wet cold and windy no visibility. The next peak meant walking down the back of the mountain into the wind and freezing rain for a substantial distance. Heading back down to dry off, re-group then head to Skiddaw but will have to come back and finish these another day”.

Good call Kev!

Meanwhile, in Wales, Tom Hemming, Jonathan Castle-Ennis and James Webb headed up Carneddau - they scaled 4 peaks but again came up against poor weather conditions so made the call to halt at that point and return to base. Well done all!

This event is for charity and on our own time so safety is priority number 1 - everyone needs to get back safe and sound.

Ahead of the 40 Peaks Challenge kicking off in earnest tomorrow - Team Pedrollo have landed at their bases ahead of the climbs!

Kevin Davey and his nephew James Davey-Mendum are living it up in luxury before they are joined by Adam Chyla and Josh Glover as well as Flowmech’s Gary Cashin as they take on the Lake District 6 in the morning.

Meanwhile in Wales, Tom Hemming, James Webb and Jonathan Castle-Ennis met up with Gary Simpson of Simpson Recruitment - who works with both Group companies - and more Flowmech colleagues Ian Craft, his wife Sara, Gemma Yeomanson and her son Harley, Lizzy Sylvester, Lewis Rudin and Meghna Patel for some pre-climb hydration and chats before we take on Carneddau and they tackle the Snowdon Massif.

When a customer faced an unexpected cast iron borehole pump failure late on a Friday evening, urgency was key. They required a 37 kW 6” and preferred an immediate upgrade to stainless steel to boost reliability and reduce future risk. Thanks to fast communication and clear requirements, the team quickly identified a suitable high performance option.

By Monday morning, a quotation was issued, and a 37 kW Panelli stainless steel borehole pump paired with a Franklin motor was dispatched for next day delivery. This quick turnaround ensured the customer avoided prolonged downtime and restored operational continuity with a robust, long term solution.
