Woahhhh 😳🫣

We popped off on our supplier round today to stock up on supplies ahead of what we’re hopefully going to be a busy trading weekend, and honestly… we were shocked by some of the price increases!

Looking back at our invoices, the cost of some of our ingredients has risen significantly. Our gourmet burger patties have increased by 55.6%, and our pesto cost has gone up by 34.4% compared to the beginning of 2025.

And that’s just two examples! 😩

When you’re buying ingredients week in, week out, every little increase adds up. Cheese, cream, meat, sauces… it all impacts the cost of putting your favourite dishes together.

As a small independent business, we’re constantly trying to balance keeping our food delicious, our portions generous and our prices fair, while making sure the numbers still stack up behind the scenes.

There’s so much more to running a food business than meets the eye, and food costs are a HUGE part of that!

We absolutely love what we do, and we’ll always do our best to give you great food and great value. ❤️

Service and a smile — you’ll always find me smiling. ❤️

Creating food gives me joy. Seeing people enjoying my food gives me pride. And chatting to people, hearing their stories and sharing little moments throughout the day gives me the warmest glow.

I think that’s one of the things I love most about what I do — food has a funny way of bringing people together. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bowl of pasta, stopping for a chat, celebrating something, or simply enjoying a meal with someone you love… there’s always a little bit of connection in it. 🍝

And honestly, I feel so lucky that I get to be part of that.

Good food, good people, and plenty of smiles. That’s what Pasta & Beyond is all about. ❤️

Wow… what a 4 days we’ve had! 🐴❤️

Any opportunity to be at an event surrounded by horses and I’m there! 😍

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of serving some amazing riders, competitors, grooms, vets and spectators over the last few days — and what a brilliant crowd you’ve all been!

We’ve been SO busy, which is obviously amazing, but naturally means I’ve had to resort to stealing photos from everyone else 😩😂 (sorry!)

The only photos we actually managed to get ourselves were during the rare quiet moments… and even those were few and far between! 🤣

Thank you to everyone who came to see us, grabbed some pasta and made the weekend what it was.

I’m feeling the love. 🥹❤️

Sometimes I look around and think… WTF am I doing, and how did I get to be doing this?! 😂

I’ve always been naturally comfortable cooking, I’ve always loved it, and I’ve always loved the joy that food can bring. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a feeder 🤣

But I’m also a creative person, and I love having a business where I can actually express that creativity — through the food, the trailer, the branding, the service, all of it.

And honestly? Give me a queue any day. 😮‍💨 I LOVE the fast-paced pressure of a busy event. The high footfall, the chaos, the tickets piling up, everyone waiting for their food… I weirdly thrive on it.

Yes, the days can be long. Sometimes I get home and my entire body aches from being on my feet all day. But for me, it still beats being stuck behind a desk in an office.

For anyone sitting there with that little itch to do something different… go and scratch it.

I always thought being self-employed was too big, too scary, too risky. And don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely all of those things at times ☝️

But it’s also turned out to be one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself.

I’m tired. I’m busy. I’m covered in food half the time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But I’m bloody proud of what I’m building. ❤️🍝✨

Wow, thank you for having us last weekend, Louth Food & Drink Festival! 🥹❤️

We had such a brilliant day, and it was so lovely to see our little trailer amongst a sea of people! We already can’t wait to come back next year. 🥰

And our best seller by a mile (more than 50% of our sales 😳) was our Dirrrty Red Leicester Mac 🧀🍝

Louth, you clearly LOVE a bit of mac ’n’ cheese with pulled pork… and honestly, we can’t blame you! 🤤

Busy busy dayyyyyy! 😬 What a day at Southwell Ploughing Match! ❤️

Our very first year doing this event, after years of trying to get a spot — so it feels pretty special to finally be here! And we were absolutely blessed with the most amazing weather. ☀️

I’ve always come to this event as a spectator — as a child, as an adult… and now, finally, as a trader! 🥹 How things change!
