It is so wonderful to see the confidence that has been gained so our attendee was able to reverse the livestock trailer into an extremely tight gateway.
We are very proud of this young woman and also of the staff member who enabled her to achieve this difficult task.

Sheep husbandry
The lambs are growing fast and eating lots. It takes several of us to move the electric fence to ensure the lambs have fresh grass.
It's so nice to be in green spaces enjoying the fresh air.

Pig husbandry

We have a beautiful summer enclosure on the farm under a large Oak Tree with a couple of wallows full of muddy water which we regularly fill with water.
The pigs are feed twice a day with extra treats of vegetables when available.
We have to often fill their water tub as they love tipping it over. In hot weather the pigs welcome a shower from our water hose.

This year's theme is "Do you see me?" which is all about people with a learning disability being seen, heard and valued.

We took the Allis Chalmers and the Grey Fergie with its plough to the Strumpshaw Gathering at Strumpshaw Steam Museum this weekend. There was a Tractor Run on the Saturday which we put the Nuffield, the David Brown and the Dextra in.
The whole weekend was well organised and we had a very enjoyable time. Thank you the Museum and it's volunteers.
