We are absolutely delighted to see our nominated charity, Little Forget Me Nots Trust, recognised as a finalist in the BBC Make a Difference Awards.
This incredible achievement shines a light on the compassionate and life-changing support the team provides to families navigating the unimaginable loss of a baby or child.
As a staff-nominated charity partner, we are proud to support an organisation that has such a profound impact on the lives of so many families.
Congratulations to everyone involved - the staff, volunteers, supporters and families who make this work possible. This recognition is richly deserved, and we wish you the very best of luck in the awards.

Someone PINCH us!!!
To be named finalists in the BBC Make a Difference Awards has made us stop and reflect on what can happen when people choose to lean into community support.
Every day, we meet families facing the unimaginable reality of saying goodbye to a baby or child. We also know that grief can take you to some very dark places. Sometimes support is offered and you’re simply not ready. Sometimes you can’t see how accepting help today could make any difference tomorrow.
What makes this nomination so special is the story behind it.
A family first connected with Louise Taylor🤍🕊️👼🏼 through McAlinden & Murtagh Funeral Directors as they said goodbye to their baby. They were then introduced to the Little Forget Me Nots Trust and, when support was offered, they chose to lean in. Over the weeks, months and years that followed, they accessed support through our Just Be Me programme, Cloud Post, Team Mum & Team Dad (joined the Darcy McKenna cup 🥹), our Memorial Fund, sibling support, and guidance around returning to work.
This nomination isn’t about us.
It’s about what can happen when a family feels able to say, “Yes, I need support.”
It reminds us that support is a two-way street. When families allow us to walk alongside them, incredible things can happen.
We often say it takes a village, and this nomination is proof of that. 🫶🏻 A village of families, volunteers, staff, supporters, healthcare professionals, funeral professionals, fundraisers and community members who continue to show up for one another when life feels impossible.
To the family who nominated us, thank you. To every family who has trusted us with their story, thank you. To our volunteers, supporters, staff and wider community, thank you.
This recognition belongs to all of us. 💙 BBC Northern Ireland
