It was an important opportunity to engage with the issues affecting hunting and rural communities and to support the continued representation of their interests.

A massive thank you to Gavin McClure of Tannyoky Guns and Ammo for hosting our BASC Coaching Day on Saturday past. Our BASC Sh***un Coaches were kept extremely busy throughout the day, with the smiles and enthusiasm from the clients at the end of their lessons indicative of the quality of the coaching they had received.

Many of the attendees were having their first taste of clay target shooting, and where better to have that experience than at this excellent facility under the supervision of BASC accredited sh***un coaches.

Finally, a sincere thank you to our BASC Sh***un Coaches for their ongoing dedication and professionalism.

We’re off to an excellent start at the Ulster Unionist Party Conference today in Belfast.

We’ve had several very useful conversations already!

We thank UUP Deputy Leader and chair of the NI Assembly Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs (AERA) Committee, Diana Armstrong (MLA) for her engagement on the Hunting with Dogs Bill and the potential significant consequences for fi***rms certificate holders, should their dog chase a wild mammal.

We also thank UUP Party Leader Jon Burrows (MLA) and Health Minister Robbie Butler (MLA) for their engagement too.

The BASC NI Team were out this week with the ever-popular Simway shooting simulator. A huge thank you to Tannyoky Guns and Ammo for inviting us to their very successful Thermal and Nightvision Demo Evening.

Visitors had the opportunity to try shooting boar, grouse, pheasants, duck and even bears! There was fierce competition between friends as always, with clay shooting, handgun and r***e target shooting and of course the very popular practical pistol competition.

Contact the BASC NI office if you would like more information on hiring the Simway shooting simulator for your event.
