There’s nothing like a community project to bring people together. Our rundown bus stop is being transformed thanks to Sian’s creativity and effort. Thank you for a fantastic tile making session. I can’t wait to see our finished Lowen Kyttrinva (Joyful Bus Stop).

There’s a lot of planning goes into organising our village b**r festival.
This morning we have updated our list of business supporters and who else to ask for sponsorship. The food menu is coming together after kind offers of donations, and we’ve brainstormed potential donors for raffle prizes.
I’m heading home with my to do list to keep me busy, busy,busy!

There’s nothing like finding forgotten treasure in your freezer! I haven’t been sloe picking yet this autumn, but I did find a stash from last year. Sloe gin, here we come!

Planning this event with my friends from the village is keeping me out of mischief at the moment. It’s hard work, but worth the effort when we hand over a big cheque to Cornwall Blood Bikes.

We have some new residents in our neighbourhood. This year’s theme for our village scarecrow competition is ‘occupations’. Here are just some of the creations to be seen. How many can you name?

Can’t go to Wiltshire without popping in to see Stonehenge. I have a family photo from the 1970s of us hugging the stones, but times have changed and we have to keep a distance now (rightly so). The enigmatic landscape is fascinating, no matter how many times I visit.

Stunning! The beauty of Salisbury Cathedral is awe-inspiring. The history nerd part of me was especially excited to see one of the remaining four original copies of the Magna Carta. We’re having a great time being culture vultures on our little holiday in Wiltshire.

Now that’s old! The nave of St Andrew’s Church, Great Durnford, Wiltshire, was built around 1090, and the stone font is 12th century. The lovely lady arranging the flowers when we visited told us the church was so small and tucked away that the colourful wall decorations never got painted over in Henry VIII’s time. Having a lovely cultural time ‘up north’ on our little holiday, and the food at the Great Bustard was fabulous.

Absolutely stunning. I love the walk to Lansallos beach, and the sea was perfect for a really long, relaxing swim yesterday. Couldn’t pass by Rosslyn Cafe without a quick call in for some of their wonderful refreshments.
