Great night last night at the CAMRA Cider Tutorial at the Lutyens Crypt in the Metropolitan Cathedral. It was good to see so many new faces at the cider bar too! Thanks to Linda Harris, the CAMRA Regional Cider Coordinator for Merseyside and Cheshire for the invite and for flying the flag for craft cider! Wassail! 😀‼️

A big thankyou to Karl and Chris from Brennan's Cider who talked us through 6 great ciders on Thursday (7 if you include the surprise at the end!). If you’ve not tried their cider, make it your next purchase. We had high expectations, and they really rose to meet them. We hope to have them back soon!

Harvested these lovely Worcester Permian Apples today. They bring a delicious strawberry taste to our cider blends. We would love to try a single variety of this variety sometime. 🍎😀‼️

This month, Manchester Cider Club is delighted to welcome Brennan's Cider, from Sefton, Merseyside. Brennan’s is the passion project of brothers Karl, Chris and Craig Brennan, who started pressing apples in a Crosby garage back in 2015. Today, their handcrafted ciders and perries are made in a converted farm building – Alt Cottage – on Altcar Training Camp in Hightown. Join us to taste Sefton’s finest and chat with the Brennan brothers about their journey from a backyard press to the craft cider spotlight.

We will be tasting 6 different ciders:
– Bramley SV 2022
– Dabinett SV 2022
– Alt Cottage 2021
– The grange 2022
– A natural ferment, minimal intervention Merseycider (launching at Mcr Cider Club)
– New release – Fos

We had a great time at That Beer Place with Chester Cider Club yesterday at the meet the makers tasting session. It was lovely to meet and chat with Gillian Hough too!
