Hi everyone 👋🏻

So we are maaaaade up to have started our WEDGE OF THE WEEK! 🧀

Each week we will be slicing our way through a new cheese!

This week….

‘RAMBOL’

A delicious, superbly creamy cheese from Saint Arnoult-en-Yvelines, North-Central France.
Layered with Dordogne walnuts and hazelnuts this pasteurized, vegetarian cheese made with cow’s milk pairs beautifully with a summery, light Rose such as Whispering Angel, which we also now have on our drinks menu!!! 🥂
Come and try both…you will love, Love LOVE this cheese, this wine…this fanTASTIC COMBO!! 🧀 🍷

A short update 📣: we’re closing The Cheese Cellar today (Wednesday 24th) and tomorrow because of the Red Extreme Heat Warning across the region.

Without air conditioning, in this extreme weather the shop gets very hot once the sun’s in — both for keeping our cheese at the right temperature and for anyone wanting to sit in with food or a glass of wine.

We’d rather close for two days than compromise on quality or comfort. We have a pre arranged event tonight which we are aiming to fulfil as best we can, but with Thursday looking like the hottest day we have decided to cancel our cheese and wine event.

The event simply would not be enjoyable and we want you to get the best experience for the money you have paid. We have been in touch via email to rearrange the date so if you have tickets for tomorrow please check your emails.

Apologies for any inconvenience this causes. We will be open again Friday as usual — hopefully see you then. Take care in the heat 🧀☀️🥵x

NEARLY ONE MONTH DOWN. 🧀✨
June is here and we are officially one month old — and what a month it’s been! Thank you to everyone who has visited, spread the word, and enjoyed lovely cheese with us!

We’ve had a busy and brilliant first month, thank you, and thanks for your patience whilst we’ve tried to find our feet!

We’ve tried to see what works best for you and us, and so these are now our official opening hours going into the summer:

📅 Monday and Tuesday : CLOSED
📅 Wednesday: 10am - 5pm
📅 Thursday: 10am to 3pm
📅 Friday and Saturday: 10am to 10pm
🗓️ Sunday 11am to 3pm
🧀please note, currently, we have to close our cheese counter at 5pm on Friday and Saturday

Come and see us for all your cheese needs, and stay for a glass of wine or two 🧀❤️🍷

Wow. What. A. Weekend. 🧀✨
After weeks of refurbing, pulling up floors, painting walls, building tables, a touch of angle grinding (can’t believe Lynne gave permission for that photo, but she did! 😂) climbing ladders, and doing as much as we could ourselves — we finally opened the doors of The Cheese Cellar Allerton on Friday, and honestly? You blew us away. 🫢
The footfall was non-stop across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and every single person who walked through that door made it all worthwhile. Lots of new faces and familiar friends from Garston. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your warmth, your patience, and your support as we find our feet in our new home.
We’re a small, female run independent, just the two of us, who have poured everything into this place — every lick of paint, every shelf, every sign, we made it. We got the doors open on Friday because we really had to, and you showed up for us. 🙌
We spent the weekend listening as much as serving — asking for your feedback, taking notes, and now we’re going to close for a few days to put those tweaks in place and get things just right before our opening later this week.
We can’t wait to welcome you back properly. Watch this space. 👀

💫 🧀Our shop signage is UP!! 🧀💫

After all the planning, the prep, and the very long to-do lists, with a little help from our friends — our sign is up on our Allerton Road shop and things are nearly ready!!

We plan to open up the doors officially on FRIDAY morning and we cannot wait!! 💫

Want to sneak in before Friday?! We are going to host one of our cheese & wine nights this Thursday to ease us in. Tickets will go on sale this evening so keep your 👀peeled if this is one for you 😊🧀🍷🎉

🧀✨ What a send-off!!

As we closed the doors of our Garston shop for the last time yesterday, we are completely overwhelmed — in the very best way.

So many of you came in to say goodbye over the last few days, there’s been cards, flowers, presents, hugs and tears, and the most genuine kindest of words!❤️❤️

Music from the best local DJ and a food parcel to keep us going from our lovely friends who make the most amazing Indian food (IYKYK)

Garston, you have been absolutely wonderful. You embraced us from day one, championed us, and made this little cheese shop feel like a real part of this wonderful community. That’s not something we’ll ever take for granted.

So, this isn’t a goodbye post - it’s a see you soon. We’re heading to Allerton and we cannot wait to welcome your friendly faces through a brand new door.

📣 A couple of weeks ago we shared the news that The Cheese Cellar will be moving from Garston to Allerton Road.

While it was a very emotional announcement for us, we just wanted to say a huge thank you for the incredible messages, support and kindness you’ve shown us. We’ve been overwhelmed by your kind words and it truly means the world ❤️

Garston will always be where The Cheese Cellar began, and we are so proud of what we built, together with all of you. It’s been our happy place for nearly two years and it will be hard to leave 😢

But we need to start to look ahead to our next chapter on Allerton Road, and we’re really excited about the opportunities it brings for The Cheese Cellar to grow and thrive…and we hope all the familiar faces we know and love will join us there ❤️🤞🏻

There’s just this week left before we close the Garston shop on Saturday 28th March, so what better way to celebrate our lovely community than by inviting local DJ Sakers to join us for some fab tunes, good vibes and plenty of ❤️ and 🧀!

We’d love to see you on Saturday, so please drop in, there’ll be cheese!!

📣📣To our valued customers… we have some important news to share.

After almost two wonderful years serving our community here in Garston, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to relocate The Cheese Cellar to Allerton Road, L18.

This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly. We’re currently open 5 days a week and while we do have busy times, unfortunately our quieter periods far outweigh them, and the level of footfall in Garston has made it impossible for us to continue trading sustainably here.

We are so proud of what we’ve built and incredibly grateful for the support, loyalty and warmth you’ve shown us since day one. Many of you have become far more than customers – you’ve become friends – and that means the world to us.

To protect the future of The Cheese Cellar, and allow it to hopefully grow and thrive, we have made the difficult decision to move.

Allerton Road is only up the road though, and we sincerely hope you will continue the journey with us there. Your support means everything, and we look forward to welcoming you through our new doors very soon.

Our aim is to close our Garston shop for the final time on Sunday 29th March 2026, before a short break while we relocate the shop to L18.

🧀 Our cheese & wine evenings will continue at our new premises after 29th March. 

🎟 Any tickets already purchased for dates beyond this will automatically transfer to Allerton Road.

🎁 Gift vouchers will also remain valid to use once we reopen.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the biggest part of our story so far. We truly hope you will continue the journey with us and we look forward to welcoming you to our new space in the coming months.
