🏁 RALI CEREDIGION WEEKEND!!! 🏁

How exciting to have Rali Ceredigion back in Aberystwyth! 🎉

The Aberystwyth Farmers Market will be at the top of town this Saturday, 9am–2pm, and it’s going to be a BUMPER market with lots more stalls than usual! 🥦🍰🧀🌿

So, whether you’re a regular market visitor or you’re coming to Aberystwyth for the rali, don’t forget to pop by and pick up some amazing fresh, local produce from our fantastic local traders.

And remember — town is still open!
Please take the opportunity to support the amazing independent businesses Aberystwyth has to offer. Grab a coffee, have some food, do a bit of shopping and explore what our brilliant town has to offer.

We know lots of people might be put off coming into town because of the road closures, but don’t let that stop you! If you plan ahead and check the Rali Ceredigion website for the latest information, you’ll see there are still plenty of car parks available and ways to get into town.

Let’s celebrate having such a fantastic event bringing so many people to Aberystwyth — and show them just how many brilliant small and independent businesses we have here!

Found an old photo from.the farmers market in Swiss Cottage in London in 2001 ish,cleaned it up and....
This is the goats cheese in oil we used to make,and very proud that Nelson Mandela spotted it in Harrods and ordered some to take back to South Africa. So a quick batch was made and delivered up to London...

In my opinion all goats are pretty wonderful but every so often there is one that has an overdose of caprine personality. And one of those was Pest, she was a 'drop and run' we never did find out which naughty goat had her and denied all knowledge!! So she was hand reared from the word go. She was beautiful but strong willed. None of the other girls liked standing next to her in the parlour, she would chomp on their ears, pull their tassels and not let them eat their food ration, eating theirs first before eating hers. She didn't like other goats, hated dogs the JRs would hide behind me if they saw her approaching, didn't rear any of her kids, she would pick them up by their ears and chuck them across the barn. But, she adored Archy, my grandson, she only had to hear his voice and she would bleat and run to him ❤️❤️❤️❤️. She was 10, born the year before Archy, walked beside him as he toddled along, protected him and loved him. But today we lost her. She was off colour yesterday, just not her usual chatty self, so antibiotics and anti inflammatories. Last night she was the same certainly not looking like dying. We've had a few pneumonia cases with this extreme heat so wanted to be on top of it if it was that starting to brew. This morning she was gone, I think it was probably her heart, her vaccinations were up to date, no visible signs of anything untoward. The barn and milking parlour is very quiet, it is a very big hole to fill, she was a larger than life character and will be very missed.💔💔💔💔

A busy weekend ahead!!! Saturday you will find us Marchnad yr Hen Dref Aberystwyth Old Town Market, Sunday Craig Y Nos Country Park Farmers Market AND at Cardi Cranks Vintage car show at Llanerchaeron. We will be stocked up with plenty of baked delights plus ample amounts of our NEW addition to our scotch egg range with the ONION BHAJI. We have had good feedback on this one 😃😃😃😋😋
