It was great to be able to chat with so many about the sheep and fibre arts of all kinds. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by!

I spent a fun weekend at the Nature Friendly Farming Network's Cynefin down in Llangorse. It was really inspiring to hear what other farmers are getting up to at the moment, and how people have been changing their practices to allow more space on the farm for nature. So often these changes seem to help the farm become more resilient to our changing weather too, and less reliant on inputs. I've come away with a few ideas to try and with a mission to get some of our many hedges laid over the winter...

Super excited to share that the yarns are now ready for purchase! Sorting the fleeces, labelling the hanks, and finalising the website have all very much been labours of love alongside the usual day to day and it's so nice to have reached this point.

It's really lovely to be able to turn the fleeces the sheep grow here on the farm into something so beautiful and we think that it does them a real credit. As a bonus, we never sell the sheep for meat - which we think makes these yarns vegetarian...

I've spent a rainy Saturday sorting the yarns out for the website! They should be up and ready to buy by the end of the weekend, I will update when ready!

From left to right this is Kerry Hill x Speckled Face, Boreray, and Hebridean. We're so pleased with them and so excited to be able to share them now. The samples have been lovely to knit!

Next on the needles for me is a jumper from Barbara's Hebridean fleece - hopefully finished in time for the colder weather!

I've had a lovely few hours spinning some yarn at Newtown Textile Museum this afternoon ! Such a pleasure to be able to craft up in the workshop with it's gorgeous light and the old looms, and to be able to admire the spinning and weaving of others whilst doing it!

My old wheel decided to be slightly more challanging than usual this afternoon but I was able to produce some alpaca x Kerry Hill x blue faced Leicester "art yarn" which I will find a use for...
