Peg Loom Weaving
Sunday 12th July

A fun, relaxed day learning to use a wooden peg loom to create soft, thick rugs and seatpads.

Easy to learn - suitable for complete beginners.
All materials and equipment provided.

The day includes a chance to meet our flock, as well as a home cooked lunch featuring our own produce.

Nature Friendly Farming!

Last Autumn we enjoyed a farm visit from the grasslands team at Montgomery Wildlife Trust and Nature Friendly Farming Network.

We've been busy putting their advice into action- here are some of the results so far:

🌳 Hedges laid in the winter now bursting back into life - these were straggly, tatty old hedges, but should now rejuvenate into thick, bushy wildlife corridors.

🌾 Allowing grass to grow longer before grazing - providing seeds for insects and reseeding.

☘️ Some areas fenced off - no grazing this season - we'll wait and see what the natural seedbank produces, hopefully increasing the diversity of plants in our fields.

All these lovely fleeces!

After shearing on Thursday, we have a barn full of gorgeous fleeces waiting to be sorted, washed, and put to use.

** Edit: looks like everyone in Llandrinio is having a BBQ today! We're already sold out of lamb and beef burgers. Got some sausgaes, and a few fillet steaks left!**

Available tomorrow from our pop up farm shop.

Saturday 23rd May: 10am - 5pm

Also a few fillet steaks from our 100% grass fed Shetland Cattle 😋

Sausages: £5.50 per pack of 6
Lamb Burgers: £6.50 per pack of 4
Beef Burgers: £6.50 per pack of 4
Fillet steaks: £9 per pack of 2

Sausages & burgers sold frozen (but made in the last couple of weeks) Fillet steak freshly cut today.

Its a girl!!!

We've waited 7 years for this....

Molly - one of our original Shetland Cattle, and a lovely, healthy, trouble free cow - has had 7 boy calves in a row. Finally, this year, she produced this beautiful girl!

Absolutely a keeper! 😍
