Today is the last day of Welsh Wine Week! Our tours and tastings have been a great celebration of Welsh Wine. Thanks to over 200 people who have come along this week and enjoyed our events we have held with our partners and local hospitality community.

So, it’s Welsh Wine Week day four…or five…or whatever! Anyway, here we have Coquilles St Jacques!
Pydew, the unsung hero of Gwinllan Conwy wines is a perfect match for this dish!
The pear, peach and citrus flavours match perfectly with the Grattan of hand dived Anglesey scallops, cream and Haffod Welsh cheddar resulting in a truly world class combination!

It’s Welsh Wine week, but many people don’t realise that here in North Wales, there are actually 11 vineyards.

In Conwy there are several great pubs and restaurants that offer our lovely Solaris! But if you take a trip out to Denbigh and visit the newly opened brookhousemilldenbigh , you can enjoy a glass of Solaris from the nearby Vale Vineyard.

North wales is becoming a little boutique wine region in its own right.

Vale Vineyard - Gwinllan y Dyffryn

To celebrate Welsh Wine Week, we are having Sunday lunch at the fabulous Y Marram! Now, while we could have had a glass of our Solaris and Rondo, we decided on a couple of wines from Ancre Hill vineyard.
Their Chardonnay rivals any great Burgundy with the most intense lemon flavours. A perfect partner to the asparagus starter.
Then a beautiful 2021 Pinot Noir with succulent beef!!
This coming Friday we are joining up with the team at Y Marram and going for it with a six course menu matched to all our wines.
