It's International Beer Day and coincidentally we are delighted to announce that we've secured a special order of the Baladin Xyauyu aged Barley Wines which allows us to reduce them by almost 60%. These rare beers rank on Untappd as the most highly rated Italian beers of all. At 14% sweet and strong they pour a little like vintage port. With little carbonation they can be re-corked to enjoy over several sittings. From right to left was have the Oro - a 13 year old base barley wine, the Kentucky - aged in bourbon barrels, the Fume aged in whisky barrels, the Barrel and the Kioke aged in Rum and Soy Sauce barrels respectively. For a contrast we've also reduced Metodo Classico - this is a brut beer produced using the same method as the sparkling wine from the Asti region so pours a bit like champagne. These are all astounding beers so grab yours while they're there. Birra Baladin
