What happens to grass growth when the rain stops?

At Tyfri Farm, near Cross Hands in Carmarthenshire, we’ve been watching grass continue to grow through a summer in which drought was officially declared across Wales.

Tyfri has been applying Pruex treated slurry to its fields. Our focus is on holding on to more of the valuable “soil fuel” in slurry, so it reaches the land instead of being lost before application.

The grass at Tyfri is an encouraging farm observation. We’re continuing to measure what is happening in the slurry, soil and forage.
