OPEN AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY! We’re open all weekend and bank holiday Monday. Plenty of space inside and out. Come up for a pint or bottles to take away.
We’re finally getting some much needed rain. The orchard might be soggy, but we’ve got plenty of space in the barn!

It's coming up to time of year again! Polish up your talents, get your acts together, It's the 21st Anniversary Prospect Cabaret & Variety Show! We look forward to yet another top selection of the Cream of Mid Wales' entertainment talent. Singers, speciality act, musicians, magicians, declaimers, jugglers, jokers and fools. All performers of all ages welcome! Camping available if you don't want to drive home. Saturday July 25th from 7.30pm. til it's over....

Come for some cider and stay to enjoy the view and watch the clouds go by. We’ve got cold pints, bottles, and takeaway growlers. Feel free to bring a picnic and have a stroll round the orchard. Cider barn open Wednesday-Sunday 9:30-5:30

I didn’t take enough pictures to capture the midsummer fun at Welsh Mountain Cider and the Real Hay Festival in Newchapel. It was a magical Summer Solstice weekend from start to finish. Friday started with French dancing in the cider barn with wonderful dance teaching and a magnificent rotating band of marvellous musicians. Saturday moved up the road to the Hay Festival with wonderful music, craft, food and an epic tug of war. Camping all weekend and friends and family cooking, playing and rejoicing. Thanks to the Wilderness Trust for organising another wonderful Real Hay Festival!!

The Real Hay Festival – A Midsummer Festival

Kicking off the weekend will be a French dance evening at Welsh Mountain Cider on Friday 19th June 6:30pm.

Join us on Saturday 20th June at Newchapel Hill, SY18 6LH for a celebration of hay meadows, community, and midsummer magic.

From 2pm, enjoy an afternoon of haymaking, wild cooking, a bioblitz, children’s activities, talks, stalls, kite flying, and circle dance. Bring your curiosity, your family, and your love of the natural world.

From 6pm gather around for food and fire, followed by an evening of live music and midsummer festivity featuring Owen Shiers, Marc Harpam, Liz Ikamba and The Vegan Vampires.

Bring your scythes, kites, and musical instruments.
Share food, stories, songs, and celebration.
Help us honour the beauty and biodiversity of our hay meadows.

Midsummer weekend at Welsh Mountain Cider.

We’re starting the weekend with an evening French Dance. All welcome, dances will be taught. Dancing starts at 6:30 on Friday the 19th of June.

Saturday the 20th we’ll be running a cider bar just up the road in Newchapel for the Real Hay Festival.

Free camping available all weekend at Welsh Mountain Cider.
