You might have noticed some new fencing has gone up on the hedge bank from The Great Barn up towards Stout point on The Wales Coast Path. This is to keep our sheep safely contained in the field in which they’re intended to graze, because sheep do love to wander!

Today is Back British Farming Day! 🚜🌾

As proud farmers here in Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major, we’re celebrating everything that makes British food and farming so special.

On our farm, we:�🐄 Raise cattle and lambs - we even opened up a butchers shop to sell our produce locally (today we opened our 8th store in South Wales!)�🌱 Grow all the feed our animals eat year-round, from grazing grass to winter silage.�🥔 Grow potatoes and cereals, supplied to shops and producers across Wales.
🌽Grow an aray of arable crops which are used on the farm and supplied to the wider farming community. �🍯 Produce our own honey and wine!�🤝 Offer contracting services to support other farmers in our community.

British farming is about more than just food - it’s about sustainability, animal welfare, the countryside we all love, and strong rural communities. 💚

Today is which is a campaign run by Farming CAN Farmers Guardian and
Morrisons which aims to create awareness on the importance of sustainable, high quality British food production and helps to spread this message amongst the general public with the industry.

Join us in a ‘day in the life’ at Rosedew Farm. Here on the farm we are proud to rear cattle and sheep (for Farmers Pantry ) and a variety of arable produce including wheat, barley, maize, fodderbeat and potatoes. The farm has diversified into other industries including tourism and the wedding industry over the years, but our farming foundations remain strong, it’s how we started and it’s what keeps us going! It’s great to see 3 generations of Davies on the land here at Rosedew. Rhodri passed on his passion for farming to Dafi and it’s great to see that Dafi is passing the farming lifestyle onto little Denver, who clearly loves farm life!
