Although all the ewes still haven’t lambed, it’s still busy busy and poultry season is well and truly in full swing.

Hugh is kindly creating the girls a new area for their posh new poly tunnel. He’s just having his work inspected 🐓

The 14 ducklings hatched a week ago and have been given a hutch extension this morning, they seem to be enjoying more play area 🐥 🦆

In the incubator are 20 goose eggs!!! I’ll report back about their fertility later in the week. 😊

As you can see, we’ve now got access to the pool!! Are we another step closer to wild swimming??? 😆. I’m doubting that myself, but it’s going to be a beautiful picnic area looking over the black mountains with maybe a dangle of feet in the water 🏊‍♀️ 💦

If the wind and rain could just toddle off now please so I can continue I’d be grateful. 💨 🌧

Crumbs it’s been a busy few days up here.

Am loving this continuous sunshine and rising temperatures!

We had to have a tree removed because it was dead and dangerously close to the house power lines. I was more excited about the now abundance of woodchip to make my paths around the new allotment area.

The wilderness is really taking shape now and I hope won’t be long before it’s a hive of activity and growing vegetables and salad!
The restored greenhouse just needs new glass.

The shed came from our old house and has been sat in the barn waiting to find a loving home and given a purpose. So of course it will house my comfy chair 😊 🍹

There are tyres for potatoes and smaller tyres with canes ready for my beans. Always finding uses for the never ending tyres we are finding buried somewhere!

The cottage wall will get a lime wash one day to really brighten up that corner.

But next task, move more muck heap for the next raised bed 😊
