SAISON TERROIR | FARMHOUSE ALE | 3%

Some beer styles just belong in their surroundings.
As a rural brewery surrounded by a working farming landscape, Saison feels particularly at home here at Langham.

Historically brewed at around 3% ABV to refresh seasonal farm workers — the “saisonniers” — Saison is known for its high carbonation, dry finish and naturally expressive character.

Expect soft citrus and fruit notes, gentle spice and pepper, with a refreshing dry finish that makes it an excellent beer to enjoy with food.

Team highlight! Harry.
Harry is our Drayman and takes care to deliver our incredible beers safely.

His favourite beer of all times - as well as his Langham beer of choice - is the 5.6% Contour IPA in draught.

Outside of the brewery, Harry really enjoys mountain biking at the Queen Elizabeth Park in Petersfield and one of his proudest achievments was to walk from Petworth to Hove in a day (more than 50k!).

THE PERFECT BEER FOR AN ECLIPSE
ECLIPSE | PORTER | 4.8%

With the solar eclipse taking place on Wednesday 12 August, it feels like the right moment to bring one of our darker beers into the spotlight.

Eclipse is our classic dry porter, brewed with our pure well water and a complex combination of five malts. Expect creamy roasted coffee and chocolate notes, followed by a complex finish.

A dark beer for a darker sky.

We've got some brilliant news to share!

Our 4.9% APA, Stride, has been awarded Gold in the Regional Cask Pale Ale category at the Indie Beer Awards.

It's an achievement we're incredibly proud of and a fantastic recognition of the hard work, skill and dedication that goes into every beer we brew here in Lodsworth.

The Indie Beer Awards are judged by brewers, beer experts and industry professionals, making them one of the UK's most respected competitions for independent breweries.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Langham Brewery - Here's to great beer, great company and many more award-winning brews.

This week's pub highlight takes us to The Highdown in Goring-by-Sea.

We are very pleased to now be supplying our one and only golden ale, 4% Hip Hop, to the Highdown, a hotel, restaurant, pub and tea room.

The Highdown was built in 1820 as the family home of the Lyons family - In 1909, and until 1967, the following owners created and developed the present gardens, in and around a former chalk pit.
In 1970, the gardens were kindly passed to Worthing Borough Council and they are now called Highdown Gardens, helping patrons build up an appetite (and a thirst) before joining the pub side.

Food-side, their Gilt head bream fillet is mouth-watering and goes very well with a pint of Hip Hop; as for pudding? Lemon and lime posset.

From gorgeous views to stunning rooms and goods, we cannot recommend the Highdown more.

As a rural brewery in the heart of the South Downs bordered by farming landscape, there is one beer style which goes hand in hand with our surroundings and that is the Saison.

Historically brewed at around 3%ABV to slake the thirst of farm works (saisonnaires) in the summer months, this style known for its high carbonation, dry finish, and naturally expressive character thanks to the yeast strains with which it is fermented.

Expect soft citrus and fruit notes, gentle spice and pepper which make this refreshing beer that pairs excellently with food.

Saison in keg is now available at our taproom and all the best pubs around! Refreshing and perfect for this hot summer.
