🍇What does “punky” mean on our shelves?🍇

P***y is our scale for how far a wine sits from “classic”.

Cloudy, wild, funky, savoury, oxidative, spritzy, or just a bit weird in a good way.

These bottles might split the room. Steph will probably love them.

Basically: P***y wines aren't always the safest to bring to people you don’t know. But they will be the most interesting.

🥇 WINE OF THE WEEK 🍷

Meet this week’s overachiever:
Perles de Piote Crémant de Bordeaux
From: Château de Piote

Why has it earned the badge?
Yellow apple, stone fruit, baking spice and toasted honey, with a savoury saline edge.
Rich, textured, and properly mouthfilling from that time on lees.

Basically:
Not for everyone. Very much for some.

Buy a bottle this week and we’ll add
+75 Wine Miles (aka a free glass of house wine, £5)

As it should be.
Wine Miles bonus limited to once per day. HR insisted.

This isn't just a hot dog. This is a Wine & Such hot dog.

It's a proper American 100% all-beef hot dog, sourced after an arguably excessive amount of research from Tom Hixson of Smithfield.

Then it's dressed the way it should be:
Chicago with the works.
New York with sauerkraut and mustard.
Texas with chilli, cheese and jalapeños.

Because if we're doing American hot dogs, we're doing them damn right.

No mystery meat. No hot dogs out of a can. No sad petrol station energy.

The kind of hot dog that deserves a cold beer, a ridiculous wine pairing, and absolutely no explanation.

🍇Champagne isn't the only proper fizz🍇

Look beyond Champagne to find some real gems.

Crémant (especially Jura) can be classic, elegant and brilliant value.
Corpinnat brings handmade sparkle with real character and depth.
And don’t knock Cava. The good stuff can be an absolute belter.

Basically: Champagne is iconic, but it’s not the be-all and end-all of sparkling wine.

🥇 WINE OF THE WEEK 🍷

Meet this week’s overachiever:
Partie Fine
From: Domaine Jeandaugé

Why has it earned the badge?
Apple, pear eau de vie, tropical fruit, honeydew and red grapefruit.
Fragrant but not floral, bright but not sharp, all wrapped in a salty, chef’s kiss finish.

Basically:
Steph’s favourite white. You’ll get it once you try it.

Buy a bottle this week and we’ll add
+75 Wine Miles (aka a free glass of house wine, £5)

Go on then.
Wine Miles bonus limited to once per day. HR insisted.

🍇It's warm out but I want red wine...🍇

Why not try a dark rosé?
Along with chilled juicy reds, dark rosé is your friend in warm weather.

First things first: darker rosé ≠ sweet. It usually brings more fruit, more grip, and more depth than a pale rosé, while still feeling fresh from the fridge.

Basically: Dark rosé lives closer to light red than pale pink pool wine.

🥇 WINE OF THE WEEK 🍷

Meet this week’s overachiever:
Salvaje Syrah
From: Emiliana

Why has it earned the badge?
BBQ smoke, black olive, dark brambly fruit and plum jam, with to***co and spice.
Full-bodied but still very drinkable, with a perfumed raspberry lift on the nose.

Basically:
Move over Zin, this is the Marlboro man of wines. Big, rugged, and built for the grill.

Buy a bottle this week and we’ll add
+75 Wine Miles (aka a free glass of house wine, £5)

We respect this decision.
Wine Miles bonus limited to once per day. HR insisted.
