I know I’m always saying South London has it all, but I’m really not lying!! 🇮🇳

I took my mum to go and check out Kokum in East Dulwich, to try their new Indian BBQ small plates menu, as well as some of the regular menu, because who can resist a butter chicken? Not me✨

Kokum BBQ on the Terrace serves:
- Firecracker Chicken Wings
- BBQ Cauliflower
- Charred Sweet Potato
(You can also add naan)

We also ordered:
- Amitsari Fish
- Butter Chicken
- Lamb Shank
- Pulao Rice
- Garlic Naan
- Basil Crème Brûlée

The firecracker wings and the cauliflower were unreeeeeal, so full of flavour and addictive. I’m not usually a cauliflower fan at all but I could eat this over and over again! So smoky and well seasoned.

The fried fish, butter chicken and garlic naan were also strong contenders, soo so deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. We weren’t so impressed with the cocktails.

My mum and I are literally fiends for crème brûlée but we’d never tried a basil one before? We were so intrigued and this didn’t disappoint at all 😍

I will definitely be going back, I can’t believe I’ve gone past so many times and this is my first time trying! Don’t be like me, check it out ✨

My first time trying in a whileeeee and I won’t be making that mistake again after this 💃🏾

We ordered:
Fried Shrimp Basket
OJ’s Mayo Chicken Sandwich
Hot Honey Butter Burger
Jerk Chicken Loaded Fries
Soy Ginger Tenders (can’t remember the exact name 😭)
Jerk Gravy

First of all, as a gravy lover, that jerk gravy has had me in a headlock for years. It’s just so delicious & I dipped everything in it. Divine. Not overbearing or overdone, just divine.

We both loved the burgers and found the prawns and tenders super juicy and well seasoned.

I really think in Spitalfields is a perfect location for because the vibes are as on point as the food. We really enjoyed!

I’m just glad we didn’t go when Arsenal were playing because my boo could actually concentrate 😭 I’m really looking forward to having my man back this summer 🤣

Part 2!!

This was my first time trying Pozole and it won’t be the last😍 it’s so full of flavour and depth. I almost choked on those green chillies but I’d do it all again😮‍💨

Runnnn to in Peckham immediately because I can’t believe this was my first visit. Just wow. Peckham is actually such a hotspot for Mexican cuisine, but at Maiz, I love that it’s such a nice airy vibe, perfect for a catch up with friends, and of course, a date night 💃🏾

They also have a weekend brunch menu that I definitely need to check out next time 😍

offers a simple, yet so perfectly curated menu, serving authentic Mexican eats. Based in Peckham Rye, it’s a must visit. Their Taco Tuesday offer is 2 for 1, which is £5.40! On Wednesdays, all cocktails are £9.

The mezcalita was just incredible. I also had:
