Meet Will 👋🏻🥂
We’re over the moon to welcome him to Marlo! Will brings an abundance of wine knowledge, and we feel incredibly lucky to have him on the team. Whoo Hoo!
We asked Will to pick a wine from the MARLO list, and he went for the rather RARE 2020 Château des Tours, Parisy. It’s made by one of his favourite producers, and he describes the rosé as
A UNICORN WINE. 🦄🍷 When we asked what he’d pair it with? Will said, “Nothing, it’s that good!”
Parisy was made by Emmanuel Reynaud at Château des Tours, an estate in the southern Rhône. A true cult figure in wine, he also ran Château Rayas, one of the most revered estates in France.
Reynaud didn’t make much of anything, but what he did make, especially when linked to Rayas, was instantly snapped up. Even though Parisy is technically a humble ‘vin de table’, the name behind it makes demand huge and supply miniscule.
Following Emmanuel Reynaud’s recent passing, this bottle feels even more unique, a true piece of history. So whilst this rosé may cost a little more than what you’re used to paying, this is no ordinary bottle. It’s a rare, slightly rebellious wine from one of the Rhône’s most cult producers.
