A little form check from

Getting feedback on my kettlebell swing form, deep squats and chin-ups as I continue progressing with double kettlebell training.

The goal isn’t to make every rep perfect straight away. It’s to keep showing up, get stronger, clean up my technique and keep progressing.

Posting this partly for accountability and partly so my coach can see the work between sessions. šŸ˜‚

Still plenty to improve, but I can see the difference from where I started.

One rep at a time. One session at a time.

Strength training isn’t just about lifting heavier. It’s learning to move better too.

If you’re working on your own fitness journey, what exercise are you currently trying to improve? šŸ‘‡

People back home see the life abroad.

The holidays.
The restaurants.
The nice flat.
The new clothes.
The ā€œliving my best lifeā€ posts.

And they think, ā€œYou’re lucky. You have it made.ā€

But social media rarely shows the other side.

The bills.
The loneliness.
Missing family milestones.
Having to figure things out on your own.
Working through things you can’t always explain over a phone call.
And the pressure to keep going because you’ve built a life so far away from home.

I think that’s one of the hardest things about living abroad.

People see the result, but not everything it took to get there.

And honestly, both things can be true.

You can be grateful for the opportunities you’ve had abroad and admit that it’s hard sometimes.

Because a life that looks good on Instagram can still be a life that requires a lot from you behind the scenes.

Sometimes, people back home don’t need to see more of your highlights.

They just need to understand the story behind them.

First of all, sorry for the unpleasant angle ā˜ŗļøšŸ¤£ but i just had to press record and share my thoughts.

Authenticity on social media isn’t about telling people you’re authentic.

It’s about giving people something they can actually see.

If you’re a personal trainer, don’t just tell me your approach works. Show me how you train.

If you’re a photographer, don’t just post the finished shots. Show me how you get them.

If you’re a designer, don’t just talk about your process. Let me watch you create.

And if you’re building a business, let me see what building it actually looks like.

That’s the bit I think we’re missing.

Stop trying to look authentic.

Show people the thing you’re actually doing.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. šŸ‘€

Because the process is content too.

Maybe you don’t need a better content strategy.

Maybe you just need to stop making content creation harder than it needs to be.

I’ve noticed something with myself lately.

The more I learn about social media, the easier it is to convince myself that I’m not ready to create.

I need a better niche.

A better hook.

A content pillar.

A posting strategy.

A content calendar.

A better camera.

Another course.

Another 47 saved posts telling me how to ā€œcrack the algorithmā€.

And suddenly I’ve spent two hours learning about content creation without actually creating anything.

šŸ˜‚

I think this is especially easy to fall into when you’re starting content creation in your 30s.

You’re older, you’ve got a job, responsibilities, bills, and a million other things competing for your attention.

So naturally, you want your limited time to count.

But sometimes that turns into overthinking.

And overthinking feels productive because you’re doing something.

You’re just not publishing.

So that’s something I want to work on.

Less consuming.

More creating.

Less trying to find the perfect strategy.

More experimenting.

Less worrying about whether something will perform.

More learning from what actually happens.

I’m still going to care about good hooks, storytelling, retention, SEO and understanding the algorithm.

I just don’t want those things to stop me from making the next post.

Because I’d rather spend the next 90 days getting better at creating than another 90 days preparing to create.

If you’re building a personal brand, starting content creation in your 30s, or trying to grow on Instagram while working a 9–5…

I reckon you’ll relate.

What’s the ONE thing about content creation you’re currently overthinking?

Filipino hospitality is crazy!

It’s like you’ve no escape or choice. Saying No is unacceptable 🤣!

But despite all of that I always feel sooo well looked after ā¤ļø so thank you! 🤣 I’ll just have to burn all the food I ate.

I’m about to offend some Filipino adobo lovers… šŸ˜‚šŸ‡µšŸ‡

Because this isn’t chicken adobo.

It’s beef mince adobo with edamame, made into a quick, high-protein Filipino-inspired meal.

And before you ask… yes, I’m calling it adobo. šŸ˜‚

I used Filipino Adobo Sauce, which is made with love, so most of the flavour is already sorted.

One jar is designed for around 500g of meat, making it a pretty easy shortcut when you want that classic adobo flavour without starting the sauce from scratch.

So Filipino friends…

Is beef mince adobo still adobo? šŸ‘€
